Why you should not being putting off routine dental check-ups even during a pandemic

In the Seattle Times The Dean of the UW School of Dentistry wrote an article explaining some of the reasons why you should not be putting off dental cleanings. Routine cleanings are a key part of your health as the health of your mouth can affect the rest of your body. Especially in times like theses, health is very important. Dental offices are equipped with standards of care in place even before COVID-19 to keep you safe in their office. We have been dealing with blood born pathogens and infection control since the 1980's in order to protect our staff and our patients. Although there are extra precautions that our office is taking in these unprecedented times, we have always had precautions in place in the best interest of our patients. There have been no COVID transmissions to patients reported in any dental offices in the US. With this in mind we are asking our patients to continue on their normal schedule for their cleanings since we are a preventative based practice in order to catch early signs of decay, gum disease, oral cancer or treat what is already existing. We want to make sure our patients are taken care and we are able to keep you happy and healthy!
